4 Ways to Make the Coffee That You Brew at Home Even Tastier

Posted on: 28 June 2017

If you like to save some money and brew your coffee at home in the morning instead of going out to get your coffee, here are a few ways that you can improve upon your morning cup of brew.

#1 Always Start With Whole Beans

If you want to obtain the highest quality coffee available, you need to ditch pre-ground coffee altogether. Although it is convenient, it does not offer you the best taste by a long shot. Pre-ground coffee could have been roasted months ago, dramatically lessening the flavor.

The thing with coffee is that it tastes best when it is consumed within a few days of it being ground up, which is why you should purchase whole coffee beans and a small coffee grinder. That way, you can grind small batches of coffee beans that you can use within a few days and get the most authentic and fresh taste possible.

#2 Make Sure Your Store Your Beans Right

Next, once you switch to purchasing whole beans instead of pre-ground coffee, you need to make sure that you are storing your coffee beans correctly in order to ensure that they retain their flavor. Ideally, the best way to store your coffee beans is inside of a vacuum sealed container that has a spout that goes one way for dispensing the beans. However, this is an expensive contraception and you can keep your beans almost as fresh by keeping them inside of a well-sealed jar. The less the beans are exposed to the air, the longer the taste will last.

#3 Grind Before You Make

The best way to grind your coffee is to just grind up what you need right before you make your coffee. This will give you the freshest taste possible. However, if grinding your coffee is not possible every morning, grind up the beans that you need for a few day's worth of coffee and keep them inside of a well-sealed container.

When you grind, keep in mind that the rougher the grounds are, the weaker the coffee will taste. If the grounds are too fine, your coffee will actually taste bitter. Kind of like Goldilocks and her porridge, you want to aim for "just right" coffee grounds, with a medium size and texture.

#4 The Grinder

Although there are a lot of great electric grinders on the market, they tend to be on the more expensive size of things. To upgrade your coffee game without breaking the bank, invest in a hand grinder. A hand grinder should be able to provide you with beans that are ground just right, and usually doesn't take that much effort, time or strength to operate.

Location Still Matters Even In The Digital World

Welcome to my website. I'm Joe Spears. A common adage for business is that it is all about location, location, location. Where you are able to open your storefront plays a large role in the success of your business. The same is true in the online world. If you want your real estate to sell, you need to understand where your properties need to be listed. I know this because I have purchased a much larger number of properties than your average Joe. Because of my interest in real estate, I have decided to create a blog that focuses on the marketing of real estate both online and offline.
