Is Your Bathroom Lighting Right?

Posted on: 6 July 2017

Of all the fixtures and décor in your bathroom, one of the most important design aspects of the room is the lighting. The wrong lighting can make it challenging to perform tasks, such as applying makeup, taking the right medications, and relaxing. After assessing your bathroom's lighting, here are some ways you can improve the existing lighting to get the most from it:

Install a LED Mirror

LED mirrors are more than just additional lighting in your bathroom. The mirror can become part of the room's décor and complement other items you have. In addition to this, there are several benefits to having a LED mirror in your bathroom.

For instance, it can help you save on electricity. The LED lighting is far more energy efficient than other types of lighting, including fluorescent. LED lighting also lasts longer and is an environmentally friendly product.

LED mirrors are available in a wide range of styles and colors. For instance, you have options, such as the lighting being on the side or top and bottom of the mirror. The lighting is discreet, but it also provides the glow that is needed to properly see. You can even opt for extra features, such as a mirror cabinet to get more storage.

Layer Your Lighting

As the day progresses, your lighting needs in the bathroom will change. Your lighting needs to reflect this. The easiest way to accomplish this is by laying your lighting throughout the room to create the moods you are aiming for at certain periods during the day.

For instance, at the end of the day when you want to relax, using LED or incandescent lighting with a dimmer gives you the freedom to lower the lighting to fit a calmer mood. The lights do not have to be installed in every space of the room. The dimmer could be used in the tub area to create a relaxing atmosphere, while brighter lights could be placed over the sink.

You can also install vanity lights in the room to help further set the mood. For instance, ceiling lights can be used to set a more relaxed mood when they are used while other brighter lights are off in the room.

There are many other functional and decorative decisions that you must make when it comes to your bathroom lighting. Work with an interior designer or a lighting specialist to determine the lighting that works best in your bathroom.

Location Still Matters Even In The Digital World

Welcome to my website. I'm Joe Spears. A common adage for business is that it is all about location, location, location. Where you are able to open your storefront plays a large role in the success of your business. The same is true in the online world. If you want your real estate to sell, you need to understand where your properties need to be listed. I know this because I have purchased a much larger number of properties than your average Joe. Because of my interest in real estate, I have decided to create a blog that focuses on the marketing of real estate both online and offline.
