While there are many great ways to use CBD, inhaling it through a vape pen tends to be a favorite. When you vape CBD, you feel its effects almost instantly. You can also take a vape pen almost anywhere without worrying that it will melt in your pocket as CBD gummies might. When you first get your CBD vape pen, though, you may not be entirely sure how to use it. The following tips will set you off on the right track.
Look up your pen's own button system
Most vape pens have a button, but how you use that button depends on the pen. For some pens, you have to hold down the button while you inhale. For other pens, you have to push the button a certain number of times to turn the pen on, and then you just inhale without continuing to push the button. Don't just assume your pen works the same way as a friend's pen that you might have tried before. Read the instructions so you do this part right.
Inhale deeply
Regardless of how your pen's button function works, when you inhale, you must do so deeply. Don't worry — this vapor will not hurt your lungs like smoke sometimes does. It won't be hot, and it won't be harsh. Some people feel a nice, soothing feeling as they inhale CBD, and others feel nothing at all, but you absolutely will not feel anything unpleasant. Pretend you're taking a deep breath in a yoga class, and really draw it on. Then, hold your breath for 5 or 10 seconds before exhaling; this makes sure your lungs absorb all the CBD.
Do one hit at a time
Even if you have used CBD orally before, the dose you need orally will be different than the dose you need via your vape pen. So, you will need to go through the process of determining your personal dose again. You do this by inhaling one hit, waiting about 5 minutes to see how you feel, inhaling another hit if needed — and so forth. Count your hits as you go so that you know how many it takes for you to get the desired effects. If you have to take more than 5 hits to get the effects you desire, then you may want to switch to a more concentrated CBD vape solution next time.
